We want to give a tremendous THANK YOU to all who joined us for Annual Meeting this year or picked up a Year-End Packet! For those who weren’t able to make it, you can find a recording at our Youtube Channel: we hope you’ll tune in.
So far, we’ve gotten positive feedback on both the Annual Meeting and the Year-End Update packets, which is encouraging. We hope the stories and information invites you into celebration around all God is doing, and prayer for all the ways we are desiring to see his healing power move in Colorado Springs.
One unique aspect of the Year-End packets was the “Giving Update” card. Since these are new for IAC this year, we wanted to write a bit explaining the heart behind them.
These Giving Update cards are not “pledge” cards in the traditional sense. Instead, they are designed to provide all of us with an opportunity for clarity.

We know there’s a lot moving in your life, and your own finances and giving patterns may not be at the front of your mind. We hope the cards provide you with a clear opportunity to discern where your giving and generosity will be moving in the coming year.
On the front side of the card you’ll find a summary of your giving to IAC's General Fund last fiscal year, as well as an opportunity to say whether those gifts will be increasing, decreasing, or staying the same. We are fully aware that we don't know everything going on in your life and relationship with God, and we trust you to ask God and discern what would be best in your giving for the coming year!
On the back side of the card you’ll find a summary of your Facility Fund pledge activity. (Find out more about our Facility Fund or make new pledges and gifts at springsiac.org/creatingspace). We know that many people gave immediate gifts earlier in 2026, and we don’t want to minimize the importance of those gifts at all! On the card, however, we simply listed pledge activity so those giving pledges so they can be aware of their progress and make adjustments if necessary.
We know finances are a fraught topic, but we also know this is a place where God’s healing is breaking in to many of our lives. If you’re curious about IAC’s teaching on financial stewardship, we encourage you to check out these sermons on the topic. Also, if you find yourself in a place of financial hardship, please reach out to care@springsiac.org so we can come alongside you in that journey.
As you gain clarity on your giving, it helps us to be looped into that clarity! It would be a great help to our Church Council to place those cards in the Offering Baskets on a Sunday morning before the end of 2025.
Our financial situation as a church is dynamic, with a major budget update coming in January as we assess people’s giving plans and our year-end giving. Having clarity on people’s giving plans is significantly helpful in this mid-year budget re-assessment.
Currently, we have significant financial needs:
(a) We are asking God to grow our General Fund $15,000 per month above budget to create capacity for greater staffing and a future mortgage.
(b) We are asking God to grow our Facility Fund $300,000 in immediate gifts and new pledges to increase capacity for a down payment.
We are thankful for all the ways God has provided for this community through your generosity, and we are expectant for all that is to come!
